About myself
Did not came to ESN on purpose, but got to love it and all that it stands for. I even was part of seven people who then initialy started the ESN TU Buddynetwork in Vienna. Half my social cirlce is now scattered all over the world. A wiser person than I once said, "... the life of a man would not be worth mentioning, if he had not during the years established inensive relationships to others". ESN is a great way for experiencing different cultures and meeting open-minded people from all over the world. It helps you get most out of your travels, and just like helping others is always a good way to spend your time. In general, internationality definitly builds character, roundens rough egdes, and helps you relativize your own culture. For me it was one of the best  experiences ever and I am very glad I did it.

What it means to be a captain
Always wear a tight shirt,
go down with your ship and,
most important, never abandon one of your crew!

Recepie for life
Find your ship
find your crew
find your 2nd in command
then sail your boat
accross the seven seas!

Recepie for relationSHIPS
Discover eachothers weakness
and then help the other come over it.

The sailors lot
We the willing,
lead by the unknowing,
have done the impossible for the ungrateful.
We have done so much for so long with so little;
we are now qualified to do anything out of nothing.

The young man asks his father, "Dad, why do all ships all have a female name?".
"Expensive rigging" says his father, "and hard to navigate".

Scheint die Sonne auf das Schwert,
macht der Segler was verkehrt.

Auch stille Wasser sind naß.

Nobody is perfect, except your captain.

In diesem Sinne,
Shiver me timbers!
